What we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and your rights.
Privacy Policy · Version 1.0 · Effective October 24, 2026 · Draft until reviewed by counsel
This is the privacy policy of JULY Marketing Inc. for JULY Catch. It says only what the service does today.
JULY Catch is operated by JULY Marketing Inc., 666 Burrard Street, Suite 500, Vancouver, BC V6C 3P6, a company of the JULY Company. This policy covers the website at julycatch.com and the application at app.julycatch.com. Questions about it go to the Privacy Officer at privacy@julycatch.com.
When you ask for an invitation we collect what you type: your name, your work email, your company if you give it, and the names or TLDs you tell us about. With it we keep a consent record: the sentence you agreed to, its version, the time, the page you were on and the network address the request came from.
When you use the application we keep the domains you add, the registry data they return, the alerts sent to you, the approvals you give and the purchases made on your own registrar account. We never hold a card number or a government identifier.
This website sets no analytics or advertising cookies. The application sets only the cookie that keeps you signed in.
To answer your request, to provide the service you ask for, to send the account and service messages the service needs (alerts, approvals, security notices), and to keep the records the law requires. We send marketing messages only with your separate consent, and you can stop them at any time.
We ask for express consent before any commercial electronic message, as Canada's anti-spam legislation requires, and we record the wording, the version and the time of that consent. Every commercial message names the sender, gives a mailing address and carries a working unsubscribe. Service messages about your own account are not marketing. We never share your text-messaging consent with third parties.
The application and its database run in North America; email and text messages are processed in the United States. A provider may hold a copy under its own safeguards. We tell you here rather than promise a residency the service cannot keep.
Sweeps run daily and the periods above are the ones the code enforces.
The Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) apply. You may ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, withdraw consent, or ask us to delete it where the law allows. Write to the Privacy Officer at privacy@julycatch.com; we answer access requests within 30 days. If you are not satisfied you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Transport is encrypted; the application keeps its secrets in its host's store, never in its code; sign-in uses a password, two-factor codes and a lockout; every action is written to a timeline you can read. If a security incident involves your data we tell you and, where the law requires, the Commissioner, and we keep a record of every breach.
The service is for people 19 or older in British Columbia, or the age of majority where you live. We delete a child's data on request.
We change this policy only with a new version number and effective date on this page. A change that affects what we collect or why is announced to account holders before it takes effect.
